Lecture on Hot & Cool Media + Video Experimentation
Today I took notes on the lecture we recieved regarding 'Hot and Cool Media'. We watched a podcast video by Bill Verplank on the fundementals of Hot and Cool media and what makes a type of media hot or cool. I learned that there are 3 basic questions you can ask to determine which type of media you are dealing with.
1. How do you do? - how do you access it, buttons (discreet), handles (continuous).
2. How do you feel?
3. How do you know?

Exploring and Analysing Videos
Today I decided to take a more in-depth look into videos that have already been produced within the creative industry, to see how other designers and professionals approached similar tasks.
One video that really stood out and inspired me was a video called Her Morning Elegance by Oren Lavie.

Monday 20th April - Introduction to Brief
Today we was introduced to our new brief, a project called 'Rich Media'; this is a term used to define singularly or in combination a range of technologies, including but not limited to sound, video, flash and/or other emergent technologies within a context or an environment, web, virtual or physical space.
We had a thorough read of the brief and had a discussion about the project objectives, it become apparant that we need to make a virtual sketchbook style log of what we are doing and how we are progressing through the stages of the project. We are to do this in a 'blog'. As the day went on, we had a brief introduction to the website 'www.blogger.com' and set up a basic blog.
